What is the difference between Basement Waterproofing and Crawlspace Encapsulation?

Basement Waterproofing

Basement waterproofing involves the installation of a waterproofing system that prevents moisture from entering the basement through the walls, floor or foundation. This can include the installation of a sump pump, drainage system, and waterproofing membranes.

Crawlspace Encapsulation

Crawlspace encapsulation, on the other hand, involves sealing off the crawlspace from the outside environment to prevent moisture, pests, and other contaminants from entering. This can include the installation of a vapor barrier, insulation, and ventilation systems.

While both methods aim to prevent moisture from entering the home, basement waterproofing is typically used for below-grade spaces where water intrusion is more common, while crawlspace encapsulation is more commonly used for above-grade spaces where moisture and contaminants can still enter.

Rated 5 out of 5

"We had our crawl space encapsulated over a year ago and had a great experience. We gave Quality Crawlspace quite a challenge with a very shallow space to work with. They got the job done with no problem! Torrez was very responsive, professional, and timely. He was always a text away and updated me with pictures throughout the process. He even texted me to remind me when it was time to clean the filter! Would recommend 100%. ."

"We had our VERY wet crawl space encapsulated, and it was phenomenal. The guys that did it were upbeat, very polite, and great workers. How they could work in such a confined area and do such great work is beyond my comprehension."

"There are not enough stars to properly rate. The service and product we received was simply amazing. My crawlspace was done in 2018 and I’ve had zero problems. I also get friendly reminders to check and change my filters. This is the guy for your job"
